I always thought it was hard to find good authentic Japanese
food in America. My dining experience at Sushi Ichiban
Kan, however, has proved me wrong.
The fresh sushi and sashimi
at Sushi Ichiban Kan are simply superb. The sea urchin
(uni) in particular is the best that I have ever eaten.
In addition to the seafood, the meat dishes at Sushi
Ichiban Kan are also excellent. Their filet mignon is perfectly
done and extremely tender, and the accompanying sauce
is a perfect complement. The flavoring of such popular
menu items as fried chicken and the various teriyakis are
mouthwateringly delicious. The salad and homemade dressing
are finely matched and wonderfully tasty.
No matter what you order, you will not be disappointed
at Sushi Ichiban Kan. The restaurant gives meticulous attention
to and effort into the purchasing of the freshest ingredients,
quality control, as well as preparation and cooking methods:
And it shows. Their use of miso, yuzu (a kind of Japanese
citrus), and sudachi (another Japanese citrus) creates
authentically Japanese flavors as well as adding nice aromas
to Sushi Ichiban Kan’s unique dishes. Over ten kinds
of homemade sauces and dressings are made fresh every day.
Making every effort to serve only the very best food without
cutting corners is the standard at Sushi Ichiban Kan. The
restaurant is even very particular about the water they
use, and only uses π water not only for drinking but
also for cooking. One can only admire such disciplined
and uncompromising approach to quality.
In addition, the
restaurant has more than ten varieties of sake to choose
from. You will always leave happy and content after dining
at Sushi Ichiban Kan. Next time, I will have to try one
of their most popular and appetizing looking seafood
items, “Spicy
Garlic Albacore.”
