They have been in business at the same location under the same name for 20 years, running across two generations. Once you step into the restaurant, you can see the symbolic Japanese color, “deep red,” everywhere. The accessories in the store—the red kara umbrella, chouchin (Japanese lantern), wadako (Japanese kite), and the various Kyoto photographs on the wall—make you think of Japan’s beautiful capital, Kyoto.

Their menu item names are based on Kyoto locations too, such as Sagano and Daikakuji, which make ordering fun. Another great characteristic about this store is the various Japanese sweets they have available.

There are traditional anmitsu in five types, where you can choose to top with ice cream and shiratama. They even have zenzai and tokoro-ten. Also on the menu are fruit parfait and cream soda, which you can enjoy after
a meal or even after some shopping to relieve your tired body.

Hanaichimonme’s recommended menu item is the spicy chanpon. Known for its stimulating spiciness, it is loaded with ingredients such as shrimp, squid, clams, pork, tons of vegetables, and kikurage.

There is also naruto in there, finishing off the deluxe ramen. The soup base is from Japan, an original tonkotsu soup. The mild and rich tonkotsu soup is hard to find anywhere else in the United States. The combination of the tonkotsu soup and the juice from the ingredients make a great, complicated taste. The juice from the seafood is especially rich, and it makes the soup just more than a “spicy ramen.” The ramen noodle is a mid-fat straight noodle. Your taste buds will not be disappointed. You can also determine the level of spiciness. Adding more spice makes the soup much richer.
It is easy to see why there are so many repeat customers for this ramen.

Another popular menu item is the chicken bowl set. It includes ramen, teriyaki chicken bowl, salad, and tsukemono. All this is available for an unbelievable low price at $9.45. The chicken is marinated in teriyaki sauce that is made of a blend of soy sauce, mirin, and sake. The meat itself has volume and is very juicy. And it lies on the bed of rice next to thinly cut eggs. The rice has sauce soaked into it, and makes the bowl endlessly satisfying. And when you want some soup, you just need to reach over to the ramen. Everyone at any age, from kids to the elderly, love the light yet rich ramen. Hanaichimonme also mixes in shiso into the tsukemono as a hidden taste, which is a nice touch to those who love Japanese food.
